What skin types are TULA skin care products formulated for?
The products are ideal for all skin types and are especially formulated for optimal skin health and effective skin protection and nourishment.
How long will it take to see benefits from using TULA skin care products?
In a consumer use study, after 7 days of use 100% of participants agreed the overall surface of their skin appeared smoother and more even and after 14 days of use, 100% of participants agreed their skin appear more youthful. Individual results may vary.
Are TULA products hypoallergenic?
The products were not tested for this claim. If you have a specific allergy, please contact your doctor to check the ingredients list and determine if the products are suitable for your skin.
Are TULA products suitable for acne-prone skin?
Recent research suggests that topical probiotics can help with acne thanks to their ability to calm redness and inflammation that may lead to breakouts. Our products are specifically formulated for optimal skin health for all skin types.
However, with skin conditions such as acne, we always recommend that you consult the ingredients list with your dermatologist before using any new skin care products.
Do I need to refrigerate TULA products?
No, the probiotics in TULA products have been lysed (broken down) to release their useful elements, which means they are no longer living and do not need to be refrigerated.
Can TULA products be used by men?
Absolutely! Our probiotic technology is perfect for both men and women and it’s specifically formulated for optimal skin health for all skin types.
Can TULA products be used during pregnancy or when breast feeding?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it’s always best to contact your doctor with the list of ingredients (all available on our website and packaging).
Does TULA test on animals?
We have never and will never test any of our products on animals.
What are probiotics?
Probiotics are “good” organisms (bacteria or yeasts) that are beneficial to the human body. Our bodies contain 300 to 500 different strains of bacteria and these make up 95% of the total cells in our body – on a cellular level we are more bacterial than human!
How do probiotics applied topically improve my skin?
Recent studies show that probiotics have other health-promoting effects beyond gut well-being, including skin health benefits. Probiotics are actually the active area of research in the dermatology world and the American Academy of Dermatology has acknowledged the use of probiotics for topical application. When applied topically, probiotics strengthen the skin’s natural barrier function and protect it from environmental damage. Probiotics secrete nutritive elements to the skin, helping to stabilize the skin’s immune system. This enhances the skin’s repair activity and counteracts degeneration of collagen and elastin, resulting in increased moisture and skin suppleness. Studies also show that probiotics may help with skin conditions such as acne and rosacea thanks to their ability to decrease skin redness and calm inflammation.
Do you use live bacteria cultures in your products?
We use live bacteria in making the formula in our products. The probiotics are then broken down to release their useful elements, which means they are no longer alive.
Do TULA products contain gluten?
Our products are gluten free and also free of parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, propylene glycol and petroleum.
Do TULA products contain sunscreen?
Our products do not contain sunscreen so we recommend using an SPF product in addition to using the TULA regimen. We are working on exciting new products, including those with an SPF.
Where does the squalene in TULA products come from?
The squalene in the TULA formula is naturally-derived and comes from Olive Oil. Squalene is a great moisturizing agent that helps to slow water loss and keep skin soft and supple.
Where does the fragrance in TULA products come from?
Our products leave a refreshing cucumber scent on your face. While the products do contain the fragrance, they are non-irritating on the skin. The fragrance is mostly comprised of natural oils:
- Bulnesia Sarmientoi Wood Oil
- Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Oil
- Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil
- Juniperus Mexicana Oil
- Cananga Odorata Flower Oil
Can I use Retin-A with TULA products?
Our products should be safe to use with Retin-A. However, it is always best to check the ingredients list with your doctor and do the patch test on a small section of your face to see if you develop a reaction.
Shipping and Returns
What is your return policy?
We stand behind our TULA products and want you to love them as much as we do. If for any reason you aren’t satisfied with your products, you can return them within 30 days of the purchase date. We’re sorry but shipping fees are not refundable. Please contact our customer service team at [email protected] to process a refund.
What are your standard processing and delivery times?
Orders received between Monday – Friday are usually processed within 2 business days from order confirmation. Orders received on Saturday and Sunday are usually processed by close of business day on Monday.
Standard ground shipping is free on all orders over $50 and your products should arrive within 4-7 business days once the order is processed.
High priority orders received by noon (EST) usually ship that day, otherwise within 24 hours of purchase. High priority orders usually arrive within 1-3 business days.
There is no weekend service for our Second or Next Day delivery options. Therefore, a package that leaves our fulfillment center on a Saturday or Sunday does not actually reach the shipper until Monday morning.

Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within the US only but we plan to expand soon. You can sign up for our newsletter on our website to be notified once we start shipping internationally.
How can I check the status of my order?
You will receive a confirmation email when you place your order, and then another email with a tracking number when your package has shipped. You can also check the status of your order when logging into your account.
Please note that TULA is not responsible for errors in fulfillment due to misspellings or incorrect entry by customers during checkout.
Can you send me free samples?
Currently we do not offer free samples for general distribution. You can always try our Discovery Kit in travel size products, which is a great way to introduce yourself to the TULA skincare line.
